Sales Executive – Sea Freight

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Sales Executive to drive new business and nurture existing client relationships within our sea‑freight division. Based in Tilbury, you will work for an established logistics provider that offers a blend of sea, air and road freight services across domestic and international markets.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and secure new sales opportunities for import and export freight across sea, air and road channels.
• Prepare competitive quotations, negotiate commercial terms and close deals.
• Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers, ensuring high levels of service and satisfaction.
• Collaborate closely with internal Sales and Operations teams to align customer requirements with service capabilities.
• Represent the company in client meetings, both in the office and on‑site, contributing to overall business growth.

Required profile

• Proven experience in freight forwarding sales, preferably within sea‑freight, air‑freight or road‑freight.
• Strong commercial acumen with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Excellent negotiation and relationship‑building skills.
• Self‑motivated with the ability to work autonomously and influence business development.

Required skills

• Knowledge of sea‑freight logistics and documentation.
• Understanding of import and export regulations.
• Ability to prepare accurate freight quotations.
