Sales Ledger Clerk

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Sales Ledger Clerk to join our finance team in Salford. You will work in a fast‑paced environment, maintaining accurate customer account records and delivering high‑quality service to our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Process and maintain the sales ledger, ensuring all customer accounts are accurate and up‑to‑date.
• Raise and issue invoices, credit notes, statements and other documentation promptly.
• Allocate incoming payments, reconcile accounts and investigate any discrepancies.
• Monitor outstanding invoices, liaise with customers to resolve queries and support timely collections.
• Produce aged debtor reports and provide regular updates on account status.
• Assist with credit control duties while maintaining positive client relationships.

Required profile

• Minimum of one year recent experience in a Sales Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Credit Control or Finance Assistant role.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to resolve account discrepancies.
• Strong communication and customer‑service skills.
