Sales Ledger Clerk – Part‑time (25 hrs/week)

About the role

Our client, a growing agricultural produce distributor in Sittingbourne, is seeking a reliable Sales Ledger Clerk to support the finance team on a three‑month fixed‑term contract with the possibility of permanent employment. The role offers part‑time, flexible hours (25 hours per week) in a friendly, on‑site environment.

Key responsibilities

• Raise and process sales invoices.
• Allocate customer payments and maintain accurate account records.
• Reconcile customer accounts, resolve discrepancies and chase outstanding payments.
• Process credit notes and enter, code, and match sterling and Euro invoices/credits using Rubicon.
• Handle customer queries via phone and email.
• Assist with month‑end sales ledger procedures and general finance administration.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a sales ledger, accounts administration or finance support role.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational ability.
• Confident, professional telephone manner.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Rubicon accounting software.
