Sales Manager – Automotive

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Sales Manager to lead an automotive sales team in Wokingham. This permanent, full‑time role offers the chance to drive performance, develop staff and maximise profitability while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop a high‑performing sales team.
• Drive vehicle sales, finance penetration and overall department profitability.
• Monitor individual and team performance against agreed targets.
• Recruit, coach and support sales executives to reach their full potential.
• Maintain excellent customer satisfaction and retention levels.
• Manage stock levels and vehicle displays to maximise sales opportunities.
• Oversee sales processes and ensure compliance with company and FCA guidelines.
• Produce accurate sales forecasts and departmental reports.
• Collaborate with senior management to implement business strategies and objectives.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Sales Manager within the automotive industry.
• Strong leadership and people‑management abilities.
• Proven track record of delivering sales results and driving profitability.
• Excellent communication and coaching skills.
• Commercial awareness with a customer‑focused approach.
• Ability to perform in a target‑driven environment.
• Full UK driving licence.
