Sales Manager – Construction Supplies

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead a team of five internal sales professionals for a well‑established supplier of building materials, protection products and tool & plant hire services. Based in Dartford, you will drive sales growth, develop new business opportunities and ensure key customers receive exceptional service.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of five internal sales staff.
• Drive sales growth and implement new sales strategies.
• Monitor team performance, sales pipelines and forecast results.
• Build and maintain relationships with key customers.
• Collaborate with senior management to achieve business objectives.
• Foster a positive, high‑performing sales culture.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Sales Manager or Sales Team Leader in a B2B environment.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate a sales team.
• Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Organised and able to thrive in a fast‑paced sales environment.
• Experience in construction supplies, builders’ merchant or plant hire is advantageous but not essential.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM systems.
• Competence in standard IT applications.
