Sales Manager – International Transport & Liquid Bulk

About the role

We are seeking a commercially ambitious Sales Manager to drive European growth for an established international transport business specialising in liquid bulk and chemical logistics. You will have autonomy to open new doors, develop major customer relationships and create profitable transport solutions across the UK and Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and win profitable new customers across the UK and Europe.
• Build a high‑value pipeline of commercial opportunities and develop relationships with major manufacturers, distributors and industrial customers.
• Lead tenders, proposals and commercial negotiations, negotiate pricing, contracts and long‑term agreements.
• Develop bespoke transport solutions across road, intermodal and multimodal networks, and identify modal‑shift opportunities.
• Collaborate with Operations, Fleet, Finance and Customer Service to deliver solutions and monitor margins, costs and market trends.

Required profile

• Proven track record in transport or logistics sales/business development, preferably within liquid bulk, chemical logistics or tanker operations.
• Strong knowledge of UK and European transport markets and existing relationships in chemical, industrial or specialist logistics sectors.
• Experience leading significant B2B tenders and negotiating commercial contracts.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to travel across Europe as required.

Required skills

• Knowledge of ADR and handling of dangerous goods.
• Experience with ISO tanks, tank containers, rail and terminal networks.
