Sales Manager

About the role

Our client, an innovative UK manufacturer transforming the building services sector, is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to drive growth across the South of England and support key projects nationwide. Reporting directly to the senior leadership team, you will manage a substantial pipeline of live project opportunities, convert quotations into secured orders and build long‑term relationships with contractors, consultants and developers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a healthy pipeline of live project opportunities.
• Maximise quotation‑to‑order conversion through proactive account management and structured follow‑up.
• Build strong relationships with consultants, M&E contractors, mechanical contractors, developers, main contractors and end users.
• Influence projects from specification and design stage through to commercial close.
• Promote innovative product solutions that deliver programme, performance and sustainability benefits.
• Deliver technical and commercial presentations, CPDs and product demonstrations to prospective clients.
• Identify project decision‑makers and manage the complete sales process through to order placement.
• Collaborate with estimating, technical and production teams to provide exceptional customer support.
• Attend client meetings, networking events and industry exhibitions.
• Develop strategic partnerships across the supply chain and monitor market activity.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Sales Manager within the mechanical or building services sector.
• Consultative, project‑led sales approach with the ability to influence stakeholders.
• Strong track record of managing complex sales cycles and delivering commercial results.
• Excellent relationship‑building skills with contractors, consultants and developers.
