Sales Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead our busy store located near Manchester Airport. The role combines customer‑facing sales, relationship building and overall store performance management.

Key responsibilities

• Handle customer enquiries via phone, email and face‑to‑face, converting leads into reservations and sales.
• Drive store performance across revenue, sales conversion and customer satisfaction.
• Build strong relationships with personal, business and local trade customers.
• Identify customer needs and recommend suitable solutions, promoting additional products and services such as packaging and insurance.
• Maintain high standards of customer service, store presentation and site operations.
• Process contracts, payments, administration and manage customer accounts accurately.
• Conduct regular site checks to ensure the store remains clean, safe, secure and well maintained.
• Follow up on sales leads and maximise every commercial opportunity.
• Support local business development and increase store awareness in the surrounding area.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing or supervising a customer‑facing sales environment (retail, hospitality, property, automotive, leisure or similar).
• Comfortable working towards sales targets, conversion goals and KPIs.
• Confident communicating with customers and identifying sales opportunities.
• Motivated by results and bonus earnings.
• Organized, reliable and able to manage a varied workload.
• Commercially aware with strong attention to detail.
• Positive, hands‑on attitude and willing to get involved in all store areas.
• Professional, personable and focused on delivering excellent service.
• Flexible to work weekends as part of a rota.
• Keen to contribute to the continued growth of the business.

What we offer

• Basic salary of £30,000 per year.
• Monthly bonus with realistic OTE of £35,000‑£36,000.
