Sales Manager - Northern area

About the role

The Sales Manager will lead front‑line sales and provide technical support for the Northern region of the United Kingdom. Reporting to the Technical Sales Manager, the role combines customer‑facing sales activities with product‑technical assistance across AIM Solder’s full product range. You will work closely with the technical department to define product requirements and ensure customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve sales and profit targets for the assigned Northern UK territory.
• Provide front‑line support to customers, including technical assistance and troubleshooting on‑site.
• Promote and sell the complete AIM Solder product portfolio to existing and new accounts.
• Coordinate sales opportunities, samples and product requirements with internal BLT personnel.
• Report activity on strategic accounts promptly and accurately.
• Identify new applications and market opportunities for current products.
• Attend technical support conferences, sales meetings and industry trade shows.

Required profile

• Proven sales experience, ideally with technical sales in the electronics sector.
• Post‑secondary education in Chemistry or a related scientific field is an asset.
• Excellent negotiation, organization and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel frequently across the Northern region.
• Self‑motivated and able to plan own visits and sales calls.
• Based in a home‑office location in the North of England or Midlands.
