Sales Manager – Retail Store

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Sales Manager to lead a busy retail store in the North West. You will be the face of the store, building relationships with personal, business and local trade customers while driving revenue and conversion.

Key responsibilities

• Handle customer enquiries by phone, email and face‑to‑face, converting leads into reservations and sales.
• Drive store performance across revenue, sales conversion and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain high standards of store presentation, safety and cleanliness.
• Complete contracts, payments and administration accurately.
• Promote additional products and services such as packaging and insurance.
• Support local business development and increase store awareness in the surrounding area.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing or supervising a customer‑facing sales environment.
• Confident working towards sales targets, conversion goals and KPIs.
• Strong commercial mindset and ability to identify sales opportunities.
• Motivated by achieving results and delivering excellent customer service.

Required skills

• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Ability to assess customer needs and recommend suitable solutions.
• Organisational skills for accurate contract and payment handling.

What we offer

• Base salary of £30,000 plus a monthly bonus.
• Realistic OTE of £35,000‑£36,000.
• Full‑time permanent role with a balanced work‑life schedule (weekends only, no late evenings).
