Sales Manager / Sales Controller – Automotive Retail

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager / Sales Controller to lead our high‑volume automotive retail operation in Liverpool. You will be responsible for driving sales performance, ensuring exceptional customer service, and motivating a dynamic sales team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coach the sales team to achieve and exceed targets.
• Monitor and analyse sales data to drive performance improvements.
• Maintain strong commercial awareness of the automotive market.
• Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the sales process.
• Manage inventory levels and ensure consistent stock availability.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Sales Controller or Sales Manager within the automotive trade.
• Experience in a used‑car supermarket or other high‑volume automotive sales environment.
• Proven leadership and coaching abilities.
• Track record of delivering strong sales results and customer satisfaction.
• Commercial awareness and the ability to motivate a successful sales team.

Required skills

What we offer

• Basic salary of up to £40,000.
• Realistic OTE of up to £70,000.
• Structured shift pattern with two days off during the week.
