Sales & Marketing Manager (Full/Part Time) – Somerset

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Sales & Marketing Manager to join a niche wholesale business in Somerset. Working full‑time or part‑time, you will be the sole in‑house sales professional responsible for driving B2B growth, managing partner relationships and overseeing the company’s CRM platform.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of the existing CRM system, ensuring data quality and effective utilisation for sales activities.
• Manage and expand the network of regional partners who stock selected products.
• Build strong relationships with existing customers, identify buying trends and upsell new product lines.
• Generate new leads by targeting relevant sectors, making initial contact and converting prospects.
• Monitor market trends, flagging and addressing any decline in product sales.
• Liaise with the external marketing agency on brand awareness, literature, social media and promotional materials.
• Coordinate the ordering, storage and distribution of wood samples to customers.
• Organise trade‑show participation, including stand booking, logistics and on‑site representation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a similar sales or marketing role within a B2B environment.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with partners and customers.
• Numerate, strategic thinker who can act quickly and remain calm under pressure.
• Comfortable handling difficult or dissatisfied customers.
• Proactive in staying up‑to‑date with market developments.
