Sales & Marketing Manager (Full/Part‑Time) – Somerset

About the role

The client, a specialist wholesaler based in Somerset, is looking for a Sales & Marketing Manager to lead its B2B sales and marketing activities. The role can be full‑time or part‑time and reports directly to the Directors.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and develop the existing CRM platform, ensuring data quality and effective use.
• Maintain and grow relationships with regional Partners who stock the company’s products.
• Engage existing customers, identify buying trends, and upsell new products.
• Generate new leads across target sectors, conduct initial outreach and convert prospects.
• Monitor market trends and act quickly to address any decline in product sales.
• Liaise with the external agency on brand awareness, literature, social media and other marketing activities.
• Coordinate the ordering, stock and distribution of wood samples to customers.
• Organise trade‑show stands, handle administration and represent the company at B2B events.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a similar sales and marketing role within a B2B environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build lasting customer relationships.
• Numerate and able to think strategically and act quickly.
• Calm under pressure and capable of handling difficult customers.
• Interest in staying up‑to‑date with market trends.
