Sales Specialist – Chemistry / Characterisation

About the role

This permanent position is for a Sales Specialist who will promote high‑precision chemistry and material characterisation instruments across the South of the United Kingdom. Working from a home office with regular field travel, you will support an established customer base while actively seeking new opportunities in academia and industry.

Key responsibilities

• Protect, support and grow revenue within existing accounts.
• Identify, nurture and close new business opportunities across academic and industrial markets.
• Develop and execute territory management plans targeting high‑value accounts.
• Maintain market intelligence, monitor competitors and spot emerging trends.
• Collaborate with internal teams to deliver the highest level of customer support.

Required profile

• Degree qualified in Chemistry, material science/characterisation or polymers.
• Strong knowledge of material characterisation and analytical techniques.
• Proven sales experience in a scientific laboratory environment or clearly transferable sales competencies.
• Excellent communication and consultative selling abilities.
