Sales Support Account Manager

About the role

The Sales Support Account Manager will act as the central hub between customers, suppliers, sales colleagues and operational teams, ensuring enquiries, orders and projects progress smoothly. Based in Lancaster, this full‑time, office‑based role supports the commercial team in delivering first‑class service throughout the customer journey.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as primary point of contact for customer enquiries, handling requests promptly and professionally.
• Produce tailored quotations, gather supplier information and coordinate commercial documentation for the sales team.
• Monitor customer orders from initial enquiry through to delivery, providing status updates.
• Collaborate with operational teams to resolve issues, manage priorities and maintain service standards.
• Maintain accurate customer, pricing and order data in internal systems.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and external partners.
• Provide timely updates on lead times and delivery schedules to customers and colleagues.
• Assist with reporting and maintain accurate business performance information.
• Support broader commercial and administrative activities as the business grows.
• Contribute ideas for process improvements to enhance efficiency and customer experience.

Required profile

• Proven experience in sales administration, customer support or commercial administration.
• Strong organisational abilities and capacity to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high‑quality service.
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.
