Sales Support Specialist (Contract)

About the role

As a Sales Support Specialist you will be the first line of assistance for DeepL’s global sales organisation, supporting over 250 Account Executives, Sales Development Representatives and Customer Success Managers. You will resolve blockers that prevent deals from closing and ensure smooth operation of the sales process. The role works closely with Marketing, Product and Customer Success to deliver tailored solutions for clients.

Key responsibilities

• Own the Sales Operations support channel in Slack for your region, answering questions and keeping the queue moving.
• Take each request end‑to‑end: diagnose, fix what you can, and involve Operations, Salesforce Administration or Finance when needed.
• Help sellers navigate Salesforce – opportunities, quotes, accounts and the overall sales process.
• Investigate and correct data‑quality issues that could delay deals.
• Build simple documentation and guides so sellers can resolve similar issues themselves.
• Provide extended support during quarter‑end and year‑end, staying available until 11 pm UK time on critical days.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years experience in sales support, sales operations, revenue operations or CRM administration.
• Working knowledge of Salesforce or a comparable CRM and an understanding of the sales process.
• Service‑mindset with clear boundaries – help sellers solve problems and teach them to do it themselves.
• Strong ownership: drive issues to resolution.
• Excellent written and verbal English and ability to explain processes clearly.
