Salesforce Application Support Specialist (Interim)

About the role

This interim position supports a large‑scale Salesforce implementation during its final testing, data migration and go‑live phases. The role is primarily remote, with occasional travel to Cambridge for on‑site activities.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the internal Salesforce subject‑matter expert throughout the implementation.
• Configure and administer Salesforce objects, fields, permissions, workflows, automation and security settings.
• Support data mapping, migration, data‑quality checks and integration with other business systems.
• Collaborate with implementation partners to validate and improve delivered solutions.
• Build and maintain SmartFlows, document templates, offer packs and automated communications.
• Investigate and resolve system issues, defects and user queries.
• Participate in QA, UAT and release validation activities.
• Create and maintain documentation, process maps and support procedures.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Salesforce Administrator or Application Specialist.
• Strong understanding of Salesforce data models, objects, field mapping, workflows and automation.
• Experience with large‑scale Salesforce implementations, migrations or major enhancements.
• Hands‑on experience with data migration, data quality activities and third‑party integrations.
• Ability to work closely with implementation partners, suppliers and business stakeholders.
