SAP ABAP Consultant – Advanced Business Application Programming

About the role

This position supports a SAP Brownfield implementation and enhancement programme, helping the organisation transition to a secure, cloud‑aligned SAP S/4HANA platform. The consultant will ensure the technical landscape remains robust, future‑ready and aligned with the company’s AI‑driven growth strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Design and govern technical architectures for SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, SAP BTP and SAP Fiori/UI5 landscapes.
• Collaborate with functional teams, solution architects, Basis, development and integration groups to deliver compliant SAP solutions.
• Maintain DEV/QAS/PRD/DR environments, optimise SAP HANA performance and oversee backup/restore and security procedures.
• Define and implement end‑to‑end integration patterns using APIs (REST, SOAP, OData), IDocs, RFCs and event‑driven architectures.
• Enforce coding standards, reusable component frameworks and conduct technical reviews.
• Assess technical impact, perform solution reviews and troubleshoot performance issues.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience with SAP S/4HANA and SAP ECC technical design.
• Deep knowledge of SAP system landscape management and SAP HANA database architecture.
• Proven ability to work with SAP integration technologies and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Experience in technical impact assessments, solution reviews and performance optimisation.
