SAP Payroll & HCM Consultant – System Separation Project

About the role

We are seeking an experienced SAP Payroll & HCM Consultant to lead a critical system separation project. You will act as the bridge between internal business units and an external payroll vendor, creating new Legal Entities and enabling separate end‑to‑end payroll runs for distinct business groups within the legacy system.

Key responsibilities

• Gather payroll and compliance requirements from local business teams and translate them into functional specifications.
• Supervise the external vendor’s product build, ensuring alignment with the blueprint and regulatory standards.
• Manage integrations between Workday, General Ledger, banking systems and HR/Time platforms.
• Design end‑to‑end test scenarios, define expected results and oversee data‑mining activities.
• Act as the primary Subject Matter Expert for defect resolution, providing root‑cause analysis and rapid solutions.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance and IT to coordinate hand‑offs, resolve inter‑dependencies and keep the project on track.

Required profile

• Deep, hands‑on expertise in SAP ECC Payroll and Time Management.
• Proven track record of payroll system implementations and steady‑state support.
• Advanced knowledge of payroll system capabilities, limitations and data integration across HR, Time and Finance.
• Strong analytical ability to conduct root‑cause analysis, mine data and develop comprehensive testing scenarios.
• Excellent written and verbal English, capable of presenting technical solutions to non‑technical stakeholders.
