SAP Project Lead – South Oxfordshire

About the role

Our client in South Oxfordshire is seeking an experienced SAP Project Lead to own and deliver SAP and business application projects. The role bridges technical teams and business stakeholders, translating requirements into effective solutions while managing a third‑party SAP support partner.

Key responsibilities

• Lead delivery of multiple SAP and application projects from requirements gathering to implementation.
• Engage with business stakeholders to capture requirements, define scope and technical solutions.
• Act as primary contact for the external SAP support partner, managing relationships and delivery.
• Coordinate internal teams and third‑party suppliers to meet milestones, budgets and timelines.
• Translate business needs into technical specifications and guide application design.
• Support investigation and resolution of complex SAP and application issues.
• Monitor project progress, risks and deliverables, ensuring governance and documentation.
• Drive continuous improvement across application delivery and IT service management.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering SAP projects in a Project Lead or Technical Project Manager role.
• Strong understanding of multiple SAP modules and functionality.
• Technical background in software/application development or support.
• Experience managing third‑party suppliers and external support partners.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Familiarity with structured delivery methodologies such as PRINCE2.
• Knowledge of ITIL principles is advantageous.
