SAP Technical Architect – SuccessFactors, S/4HANA & Ariba

About the role

We are looking for a senior SAP Technical Architect to own the end‑to‑end technical architecture and solution design across SuccessFactors, S/4HANA Finance and Ariba. The role will be based in London with a hybrid on‑site schedule (initially four days a week in the office, then three days).

Key responsibilities

• Define and own the technical architecture for SuccessFactors, S/4HANA Finance and Ariba.
• Design integration architecture (real‑time and batch) using CPI/PI/PO, APIs, middleware, IDocs, RFCs, REST and SOAP.
• Lead the design of the S/4HANA Finance data model, Fiori/UI5 applications and extension strategies (BTP, side‑by‑side, in‑app).
• Implement SAP Ariba integration, including Ariba Network, Cloud Integration Gateway, catalog, contracts and P2P technical setup.
• Lead SuccessFactors technical implementations covering Employee Central, Payroll integration, Provisioning/OData APIs and extensions.
• Oversee custom development – ABAP (RAP, CDS, AMDP), SAPUI5/Fiori, BTP services and Java/Node integrations where required.
• Define non‑functional requirements such as performance, availability, security, compliance and backup/recovery.
• Establish coding standards, CI/CD pipelines, transport management and release governance.
• Mentor development teams, conduct code and design reviews, and provide technical guidance during testing and go‑live.
• Collaborate with business architects, functional leads, security and operations to ensure solution acceptance and post‑go‑live support.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience leading SAP technical architecture across SuccessFactors, S/4HANA Finance and Ariba.
• Strong background in designing and implementing integrations using CPI/PI/PO, APIs, IDocs, RFCs, REST and SOAP.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and guide development teams through design reviews and go‑live activities.
