Scan Operative

About the role

The Scan Operative will provide a fast, accurate document‑scanning service for research groups across the Trust and support the Clinical Research Facility. Working closely with investigators, research nurses and the quality‑assurance team, you will help ensure that patient treatment records are correctly captured in the Trust’s electronic document management system.

Key responsibilities

• Operate high‑volume document scanners to digitise research and clinical records.
• Upload and index scanned files in the Onbase Unity Client (eDMS) according to Trust policies.
• Liaise with researchers, study support staff and the Senior QA Lead to resolve scanning issues.
• Provide administrative and facility support within the Clinical Research Facility.
• Maintain accurate logs and ensure compliance with quality‑assurance procedures.

Required profile

• Ability to deliver an efficient and responsive scanning service.
• Experience working with clinical or research teams is desirable.
• Attention to detail and adherence to Trust policies and procedures.
• Good communication skills for interaction with investigators and support staff.

Required skills

• Onbase Unity Client (eDMS) operation.
• Document scanning equipment handling.
• Basic knowledge of quality‑assurance documentation processes.
