Scheduler – Field Technician Planning

About the role

The Scheduler will plan, coordinate and dispatch field technicians to ensure work is delivered efficiently, safely and in line with customer expectations. Acting as the link between customers, technicians, planners and operations, you will keep schedules accurate and optimise capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate schedules for 30 field engineers across two regions.
• Contact customers to arrange appointments and dispatch engineers based on operational priorities.
• Schedule work in line with capacity, forecast demand and customer requirements.
• Monitor engineer availability, including holidays, training, sickness and workload changes.
• Provide engineers with accurate job details, site information and work‑order updates.
• Support KPI performance and customer satisfaction through effective scheduling and communication.
• Allocate work for apprentices in line with training and development requirements.

Required profile

• Experience in scheduling or coordination within a service or field‑based environment.
• Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Good understanding of capacity planning and workforce utilisation.
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate, up‑to‑date schedules under changing conditions.
