About the role
This full‑time, temporary position supports the day‑to‑day operations of a secondary school in Oldham. You will be the first point of contact for visitors and will help keep the school’s administrative processes running smoothly.
Key responsibilities
- Welcome visitors and manage front‑office communications.
- Handle telephone and email enquiries professionally.
- Update pupil records and maintain the school’s MIS system, preferably SIMS.
- Assist with attendance data, safeguarding processes and general office tasks.
- Provide day‑to‑day administrative support to staff and school leadership.
Required profile
- Previous experience working within a school or educational setting.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- Strong organisational and communication abilities.
- Positive, proactive and professional attitude.
Required skills
- Familiarity with SIMS or Arbor school management systems.
