About the role
We are looking for an experienced School Administrator to join a busy mainstream secondary school in Reading. The role provides essential administrative support to students, staff, parents and visitors, ensuring the school runs smoothly on a day‑to‑day basis.
Key responsibilities
- Manage reception and front‑of‑house duties, handling calls, emails and visitor enquiries.
- Maintain accurate student and staff records and produce letters, reports and general correspondence.
- Support attendance, admissions and other school processes.
- Provide administrative assistance to senior leaders and teaching staff.
- Ensure confidentiality and compliance with school procedures, including safeguarding and attendance policies.
Required profile
- Previous experience as a School Administrator within a UK secondary school.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience using school MIS systems such as SIMS, Arbor or Bromcom.
