School Caretaker – Facilities & Maintenance

About the role
Prospero Teaching is looking for a dedicated caretaker to ensure the smooth day‑to‑day operation of its school site in Enfield. You will be the first point of contact for site security, maintenance, and overall presentation, supporting a safe and welcoming environment for staff and pupils.
Key responsibilities
- Open and secure the school premises each day.
- Carry out basic maintenance tasks and minor repairs.
- Monitor site safety, report any issues and ensure compliance.
- Support cleaning standards and maintain tidy indoor and outdoor areas.
- Assist with deliveries, room setups and school events.
Required profile
- Previous experience in caretaking, maintenance or facilities.
- Good practical and DIY abilities.
- Proactive, flexible approach and ability to work independently.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
