School Caretaker (Site Assistant) – Enfield

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Site Assistant to support the day‑to‑day operation of a school in Enfield. The role focuses on maintaining a safe, clean, and well‑kept environment for staff, pupils, and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Secure the premises at the end of the day by locking doors, closing windows and activating alarms.
• Collect litter and keep outdoor areas tidy.
• Perform basic grounds and building maintenance such as gardening, painting, and minor repairs.
• Maintain toilet standards by restocking supplies and ensuring cleanliness.
• Manage primary gate duties, opening and closing at designated times.
• Respond to reasonable additional requests related to site upkeep.

Required profile

• Proven experience in facility or site maintenance.
• Good understanding of health and safety regulations.
• Ability to perform physical tasks and stand for long periods.
• Strong attention to detail and time‑management skills.
• Team‑oriented yet capable of working independently.
• Enhanced DBS check is essential.
