School Cleaner (Enhanced DBS) – Harlow CM19

About the role

HR GO Recruitment is looking for an experienced School Cleaner to join a school in Harlow, Essex (CM19). The role is part‑time, temporary and requires an enhanced DBS check. You will help maintain a clean, safe and hygienic environment for students, staff and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Clean classrooms, corridors, toilets, staff rooms and other designated areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum and polish floors.
• Dust and wipe down furniture, surfaces and fixtures.
• Empty bins and dispose of waste safely.
• Refill toilet paper, paper towels and soap dispensers.
• Report maintenance issues or hazards to the Site Manager.
• Secure cleaning materials and equipment after use.
• Assist with deep cleaning during school holidays or closures.

Required profile

• Previous cleaning experience, preferably in a school or similar environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail, reliable and punctual.
• Understanding of health & safety practices and basic COSHH awareness.
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
