About the role

Berry Recruitment is seeking reliable School Cleaning Assistants for a temporary, part‑time position in Liverpool schools. The role starts immediately and offers flexible afternoon hours, making it ideal for candidates looking for a few hours of work each weekday.

Key responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, dust and polish classrooms and common areas.
• Report any damages or issues to school management.
• Check and replenish cleaning supplies as needed.
• Use cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the school.

Required profile

• Availability Monday‑Friday, 2:30 pm – 6:30 pm (flexible).
• Willingness to obtain an Enhanced DBS clearance (fee applicable).
• Ability to complete online Food Hygiene, Safeguarding and KCSIE training.
• Commitment to follow health and safety procedures.

Required skills

• Cleaning equipment operation.
• Health & safety compliance.
