School Cleaners & Kitchen Assistants (Crook)

About the role
Berry Recruitment is looking for agency cleaners and kitchen assistants to cover temporary, part‑time shifts in schools across Crook and nearby areas. The role is ideal for candidates who need flexible hours to complement other commitments.
Key responsibilities
- Vacuuming and mopping floors
- Cleaning toilets and washroom facilities
- Tidying classrooms, staff rooms and desk areas
- Emptying bins and dusting surfaces
- Sanitising high‑touch points such as door handles and light switches
- Preparing simple food items in school kitchens
- Washing pots, utensils and cleaning kitchen surfaces
Required profile
- Previous cleaning or kitchen experience preferred
- Full UK driving licence and own transport desirable but not essential
- Current Enhanced DBS certificate on the update service, or willingness to obtain one
- Availability for shifts 9:30 am‑1:30 pm and 3:30 pm‑5:30 pm, Monday‑Friday
