School Driver – 25 hrs/week (Part‑time)

About the role

We are looking for a reliable driver to transport children to and from Westmorland School in Chorley. The role is part‑time, 25 hours per week across two daily shifts, and involves ensuring safe and punctual travel for pupils with special educational needs.

Key responsibilities

• Pick up and drop off pupils at designated locations, adhering to agreed timetables.
• Maintain a safe driving environment and uphold all road safety regulations.
• Monitor pupil behaviour during journeys and report any concerns using the school’s online reporting system.
• Complete daily logs and communicate with parents and staff regarding any incidents or delays.

Required profile

• Clean driving licence with at least five years’ driving experience.
• Age 25 years or older.
• Friendly, hardworking attitude with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents and staff.
• Commitment to the safety and wellbeing of pupils, especially those with ASD or SEMH needs.

Required skills

• Proficient use of online reporting tools.
