School Effectiveness Lead – Standards & Inclusion

About the role

This senior leadership position is responsible for driving school improvement, raising standards and championing inclusive practice across a local authority education system. You will work directly with headteachers and senior leaders to ensure every child receives high‑quality education and support.

Key responsibilities

• Build strong partnerships with headteachers, senior leaders and wider education stakeholders.
• Provide strategic challenge and support to schools to improve standards and outcomes.
• Promote and develop inclusive practice, supporting vulnerable learners and ensuring equality of opportunity.
• Lead strategic school‑improvement initiatives and programmes.
• Analyse performance data to identify priorities and drive targeted interventions.
• Deliver leadership development, training and professional learning opportunities.
• Collaborate across education, SEND, inclusion and children’s services to deliver a cohesive system.

Required profile

• Significant senior leadership experience within education.
• Proven track record of driving school improvement and raising standards.
• Strong understanding of inclusion, SEND and provision for vulnerable learners.
• Ability to influence, challenge and support school leaders.

• Strong communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
