School Kitchen Assistant – Flexible Hours

About the role
We are looking for a reliable School Kitchen Assistant to join our temporary catering team in Helsby. The role supports primary and secondary schools by preparing and serving meals during school hours.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and serve food to students and staff in accordance with menu plans.
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness, including washing up and general cleaning.
- Serve meals courteously and ensure a friendly service environment.
- Follow food safety, hygiene and safeguarding standards at all times.
Required profile
- Availability to work Monday‑Friday, 10am‑2pm with flexibility.
- Enhanced DBS clearance (can be obtained through us).
- Completion of online training for Food Hygiene, Safeguarding and KCSIE (provided).
Required skills
- Basic food preparation and handling.
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
