School Lettings Manager

About the role

We are seeking a proactive School Lettings Manager to oversee the use of our school facilities outside of teaching hours. You will act as the main point of contact for community groups, sports clubs and local businesses wishing to hire our spaces, ensuring smooth operations and a positive experience for all users.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the complete lettings programme from initial enquiry to final hand‑over.
• Develop and maintain relationships with sports clubs, community organisations and local businesses.
• Coordinate caretaking and site teams to guarantee facilities are clean, safe and ready for use.
• Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health and safety and other regulatory requirements.
• Monitor bookings, prepare invoices and keep accurate records.
• Identify opportunities to increase community usage and generate additional income.
• Deliver excellent customer service to external hirers.

Required profile

• Experience in facilities management, venue management, hospitality or events.
• Confident communicator with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Strong organisational and IT abilities.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Flexibility to support evening and occasional weekend lettings.
• Understanding of safeguarding and high professional standards.
