School Premises Officer – Full‑Time (Lambeth)

About the role
We are looking for an experienced School Premises Officer to join a welcoming school community in Lambeth. The role involves overseeing the day‑to‑day maintenance of school facilities, ensuring health and safety standards are met, and supporting a safe learning environment.
Key responsibilities
- Manage routine building maintenance and repairs across the school site.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and COSHH regulations.
- Coordinate with external contractors and service providers.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and incidents.
Required profile
- Previous experience in a school premises or facilities management role.
- Strong knowledge of building maintenance, health & safety legislation and compliance.
- Organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
- Proactive, reliable and professional attitude.
- Relevant degree or professional qualification is preferred.
Required skills
- Understanding of COSHH requirements.
- Knowledge of health and safety standards for educational settings.
