About the role
We are supporting a busy secondary school in Greenwich that needs a confident, friendly, and highly organised School Receptionist. You will be the first point of contact for visitors, parents and pupils, ensuring a smooth and professional front‑of‑house experience.
Key responsibilities
- Provide a warm, professional welcome to visitors, parents and pupils.
- Manage the reception desk, including sign‑in procedures and issuing visitor passes.
- Handle incoming calls and emails, directing messages to the appropriate staff members.
- Support appointment scheduling and basic diary management.
- Manage post, deliveries and general reception administration.
- Offer light admin support to the wider office team when required.
- Maintain confidentiality and follow safeguarding procedures at all times.
Required profile
- Previous experience working in a school environment.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- Ability to stay calm, organised and efficient in a busy school office.
- Professional, reliable work ethic.
Required skills
- Confident IT skills.
