School Science Technician (Full‑Time) – Lewisham

About the role

We are looking for an experienced School Science Technician to join a friendly, well‑resourced secondary school in Lewisham on a full‑time, five‑day week basis. You will support the delivery of science lessons by ensuring laboratories are safe, well‑stocked and ready for use.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain laboratory equipment, chemicals and teaching resources.
• Ensure compliance with COSHH regulations and all health & safety procedures.
• Assist teachers with practical experiments and set‑up of scientific demonstrations.
• Carry out routine checks, risk assessments and inventory management.
• Support the smooth running of the science department and contribute to a safe learning environment.

Required profile

• Previous experience working as a School Science Technician.
• Strong knowledge of COSHH and laboratory health & safety standards.
• Excellent organisational and practical abilities.
• Relevant degree preferred but not essential.
