About the role

We are seeking an experienced School Site Supervisor to join a welcoming school in Tameside from September 2026. The successful candidate will be responsible for keeping the school environment safe, secure and well‑maintained for pupils, staff and visitors.

Key responsibilities

Maintain the overall safety and security of the school premises.
Carry out general maintenance tasks and basic repairs across the site.
Manage site security procedures, including opening and locking the building each day.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and conduct regular safety checks.

Required profile

Previous experience as a Site Supervisor or Caretaker within a school setting.
Good knowledge of health and safety procedures.
Reliable, proactive and hardworking with a flexible, hands‑on approach.
Strong organisational and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

Basic building maintenance and repair skills.
Health and safety compliance.
