Science Graduate Teaching Assistant – Term‑time (West London)

About the role

This full‑time, term‑time position offers recent science graduates the chance to gain hands‑on classroom experience in secondary schools across West London. You will support teachers in delivering engaging science lessons and help students develop both academic and personal skills.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management.
• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support, including for pupils with additional learning needs.
• Prepare and organise learning resources to enhance student engagement.
• Collaborate with teachers and SEN staff to monitor progress and adapt learning strategies.
• Promote a positive, inclusive learning environment.

Required profile

• Degree in any science discipline.
• Previous experience in a school or education‑related setting (preferred but not essential).
• Enthusiastic, professional and friendly attitude.
• Experience or knowledge of supporting children with additional learning needs.

Required skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to organise resources and manage time effectively.
• Basic understanding of classroom behaviour management.
