About the role
The academy in Newham is seeking a Science Key Stage Lead Teacher to join its thriving Science department on a permanent, full‑time basis from September. This role offers an experienced science teacher the chance to develop leadership expertise within a forward‑thinking, supportive academy environment.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and develop Science provision across a designated key stage.
- Deliver engaging, challenging Science lessons to students of varying abilities.
- Monitor student progress and implement strategies to maximise achievement.
- Support curriculum planning and development.
- Coach, mentor and support colleagues within the department.
- Contribute to whole‑school improvement initiatives.
- Promote high standards of behaviour, attendance and achievement.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- A recognised degree in a Science‑related subject.
- Proven experience teaching Science at secondary level.
- Strong subject knowledge across the Science curriculum.
