Science Teacher – Full‑time (Contract) – Surrey

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Science Teacher to join a mixed secondary school in Surrey from September 2026. The role covers main and upper years, delivering both theoretical and practical science education within a vibrant, inclusive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess high‑quality science lessons across a range of modules.
• Prepare students for examinations and support Sixth Form teaching where needed.
• Contribute to enrichment activities and the school’s inclusive programmes, including support for visually impaired learners.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and school initiatives.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (or equivalent) with a science‑related degree or specialist qualification.
• Demonstrated experience teaching science at secondary level.
• Strong classroom management and the ability to work under pressure.
• Forward‑thinking, inspirational and excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of the national science curriculum and assessment requirements.
• Ability to design and deliver practical experiments safely.
• Proficiency in using ICT tools to enhance learning.
• Understanding of inclusive teaching strategies for diverse learners.
