Science Teacher – Full‑time Permanent Role

About the role

Prospero Teaching is partnering with a secondary school in Dibden Purlieu to hire a qualified Science Teacher (QTS) on a permanent, full‑time basis starting in September. The role involves delivering high‑quality Science education to students in Key Stages 3 and 4.

Key responsibilities

• Teach Science across KS3 and KS4, covering Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Combined Science.
• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging, structured lessons.
• Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing feedback and support.
• Support pupils of varying abilities to achieve strong outcomes.
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour and engagement.
• Contribute to departmental planning and collaborative initiatives.
• Follow safeguarding and school policies consistently.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
• Strong subject knowledge in Science.
• Experience teaching at secondary level or a strong ECT placement.
• Confident classroom practitioner or developing teaching practice.
• Effective behaviour management skills.
• Organised and committed to delivering high standards.
• Open to both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers.
