About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic Science Teacher to join our 11‑16 secondary school in Woking for the September 2026 start. The role can be full‑time or part‑time (four days a week) and offers the chance to work in a supportive, innovative department that values scientific inquiry.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, deliver and assess engaging science lessons for Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Utilise interactive LED screens and specialist facilities such as the planetarium and performance space.
- Contribute to the development of the science curriculum and share best practices with colleagues.
- Maintain a safe laboratory environment and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
- Participate in departmental meetings, whole‑school events and professional development programmes.
Required profile
- Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Passion for teaching science and ability to inspire students.
- Willingness to work collaboratively within a dynamic team.
- Flexibility to teach across a range of science subjects.
Required skills
- Strong knowledge of the secondary science curriculum.
- Experience with classroom technology such as interactive displays.
- Ability to manage laboratory equipment safely.
