Science Teacher

About the role

Teaching Personnel is partnering with a forward‑thinking secondary school (11‑16) in Southampton to hire a passionate Science Teacher. The school has recently achieved a ‘Good’ Ofsted rating and is committed to delivering high‑quality, inclusive education.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons for Key Stages 3 and 4, covering Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
• Inspire curiosity and a love of learning through practical experiments and inquiry‑based activities.
• Contribute to a well‑structured, ambitious curriculum, including opportunities for triple science pathways.
• Support the progress of all learners, with particular attention to SEND and disadvantaged students.
• Participate in enrichment programmes and wider school community initiatives.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching Science at secondary level (early career teachers are welcome).
• Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for science education.
• Ability to create a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
• Commitment to high expectations, continuous improvement and collaborative teamwork.
