Science Teacher – KS3/KS4 (Full‑time)

About the role
Join an Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ secondary school in West Sussex as a Science Teacher. You will deliver engaging science lessons to KS3 and KS4 pupils, with the possibility of teaching KS5 where appropriate, within a supportive and collaborative environment.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high‑quality science lessons for KS3 and KS4 students.
- Assess, monitor and report on student progress regularly.
- Maintain classroom discipline and promote punctuality, good behaviour and homework standards.
- Keep accurate records and contribute to department meetings.
- Organise and participate in extracurricular activities such as clubs, outings and school events.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching science at secondary level; ability to teach A‑level is desirable.
- Strong understanding of the UK secondary education system and science curriculum.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Good organisational and time‑management skills.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
Required skills
- In‑depth knowledge of the secondary science curriculum.
- Ability to create innovative and engaging lesson plans.
- Proficiency in assessing student work and providing constructive feedback.
