Science Teacher (Maternity Cover)

About the role
We are seeking a qualified Science Teacher to cover a maternity leave starting October 2026 in West Sussex. The role involves delivering high‑quality GCSE science lessons and fostering a love of learning among pupils.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons across all three sciences (biology, chemistry, physics) for GCSE students.
- Monitor and assess pupil progress, aiming to raise attainment and outcomes.
- Implement innovative teaching strategies to motivate and inspire learners.
- Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a positive classroom environment.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Proven experience teaching all three sciences at GCSE level.
- Track record of sustained strong attainment and achievement.
- Ability to innovate and create engaging learning experiences.
