Science Teacher – Physics or Chemistry Specialist

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Science Teacher with a specialism in Physics or Chemistry to join a well‑established secondary school in Crayford from September 2026. The role involves delivering engaging, challenging lessons that inspire students to achieve their full potential within a recently refurbished, well‑resourced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver high‑quality Physics or Chemistry lessons for secondary students.
• Maintain strong classroom and behaviour management to create a positive learning atmosphere.
• Collaborate with the Science department to develop curriculum and share best practices.
• Utilise modern laboratory facilities and teaching resources effectively.
• Contribute to the wider school community and extracurricular activities as needed.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in England.
• Successful completion of the ECT induction period.
• Proven experience teaching Science in a UK secondary school.
• Specialist expertise in Physics or Chemistry.
• Commitment to raising student achievement and progress.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a department.
• Availability to start full‑time in September 2026.
