About the role
We are seeking an inspiring Science Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in the borough of Southwark. The role involves delivering engaging science lessons to Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of extending to Key Stage 5. The position starts in April (after the half‑term break) or September as a permanent appointment.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high‑quality science lessons for KS3 and KS4.
- Inspire students to develop a strong interest in scientific inquiry.
- Maintain effective classroom management and a safe learning environment.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with the department to develop curriculum resources.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Strong subject knowledge in science and a genuine passion for teaching.
- Commitment to delivering high‑standards of education in Southwark.
- Excellent classroom management skills.
