Science Teacher – Secondary School (Wakefield)

About the role

We are seeking an inspiring Science Teacher to join a reputable secondary school in Wakefield from September 2026. You will deliver engaging lessons for Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering curiosity and scientific inquiry among students.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high‑quality Science lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
• Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback and support attainment.
• Create an inclusive classroom environment that encourages investigation and critical thinking.
• Contribute to extracurricular activities such as STEM clubs, science fairs and enrichment programmes.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• A degree in Science or a related discipline.
• Experience teaching Science at secondary level in the UK.
• Strong classroom management and a commitment to pupil welfare.
