Science Teacher – September start

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Science Teacher to join a Good-rated co‑educational secondary school and sixth form in the London Borough of Bromley. The role starts in September and is full‑time and permanent, primarily delivering KS3 and KS4 Science lessons with the possibility of KS5 teaching depending on experience.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons for KS3‑KS4 students.
• Contribute to the development and enrichment of the Science curriculum.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with colleagues to support the school’s outstanding personal development and sixth‑form provision.
• Participate in extra‑curricular activities and uphold a safe, inclusive learning environment.

Required profile

• Right to work in the UK.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK or an overseas equivalent.
• Current enhanced DBS check.
• Experience teaching Science in UK schools, suitable for recent graduates (ECT) or experienced teachers.
• Specialism in Chemistry or Physics is desirable.

Required skills

• Strong subject knowledge in Chemistry.
• Strong subject knowledge in Physics.
• Effective Science teaching techniques.
